Reans, a Tulsa native, attended Sunday's Tulsa Drillers game with his two children, ages 6 and 5. The first-pitch temperature read 107 degrees, however. The chances that he and his sons would stay for the game's duration were slim. "We probably aren't," he said. Reans prepared for the extreme heat by bringing a towel he planned to dip in water to keep cool. He experienced the plight all Drillers fans face when attending games in July and August: trying to enjoy a ball game while battling the intense heat.
